About the STEM Hub
The Drayton Manor STEM Hub is a community of students passionate about science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This website serves as our way of expressing that passion to our wider school community. Through hosting exciting competitions, discovering opportunities and providing topical STEM news, we hope to encourage as many individuals as possible to explore and engage with STEM. All of that, and more, can be found here at this website.
The STEM Hub was founded by Kuba Kane in 2021, and is currently managed by a small team of students in Year 12 and 13. It is our hope that the STEM Hub can be a place for everyone to easily access STEM-related opportunities, read and learn more about STEM, and share their passion with others.

More about STEM
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. All of the disciplines in STEM are related, and most often they interlink and support each other. For example, mathematics is regularly used in fields related to science, and technology jobs often require employees have some experience in mathematics. STEM is also a stepping-stone to many opportunities that are not so obvious, such as helping to design new sportswear (science and engineering), or revolutionising the farming industry (science and technology). In this way, STEM subjects can be very useful for one's future opportunities.

The STEM Hub aims to support you to pursue STEM activities, opportunities and careers, as well as find a community which shares your passions.
